Our story
Founded in 1987 by Cora Tsouflidou in Montreal, Cora franchise has grown from a single counter into the leading breakfast and lunch restaurant chain in Canada. What started as a mother’s dream to serve fresh, wholesome meals to her community has become a nationwide success story, with over 125 franchise restaurants from coast to coast.
Pioneers of the Modern Breakfast
Cora didn’t just join the breakfast movement—we started it. In 1987, we introduced a new way to enjoy mornings, bringing fresh fruit, generous plates and joyful creativity to a meal that was once overlooked. We changed the game, and Canadians took notice.

Cora Tsouflidou, founder
Mme Cora founded her business in 1987 in Montreal, transforming a small diner into an innovative breakfast concept. Thanks to her creativity, dedication and the support of her children, she grew the Cora franchise to over 125 restaurants across Canada. Still active as Creative Director, she oversees the company’s branding, menus and marketing.
Nicholas Tsouflidis, President
Involved from the very beginning, Nicholas has held every role within Cora restaurants. Appointed President in 2008, he draws on his hands-on experience and strategic vision to lead the Cora franchise. He’s firmly focused on the continued growth of the network in Canada.

Our founder, Mme Cora, buys a small diner in Montreal’s Saint-Laurent district. Thanks to her creativity, her passion for food and devotion to her valued customers, Cora creates an innovative concept for the time: breakfast gastronomy.

Cora and her children operate nine Cora Breakfast and Lunch restaurants in Quebec.
